An Ogle County judge set bond at $10,000 for a Rochelle man after he was arrested last weekend by Ogle County Sheriff's Police and local authorities following a family confrontation.
26-year old James Salazar has been arrested on 2 Class 4 felony charges of child abduction and criminal trespass to an occupied residence.
Rochelle police also arrested him on the charge of domestic battery and obstructing. He ran from police prior to being taken into custody.
The arrest stems from Salazar, a noncustodial parent, entering a home in Hillcrest early Saturday morning and illegally removing a child.
He was located a short time later in the 1,000 block of Garfield Drive in Rochelle involving a domestic altercation.
The female victim did not suffer any serious injuries. The child was also not hurt from the incident and given back to the mother.
Salazar returns to court this afternoon for a hearing in Oregon. He remains in jail in lieu of bond.
