Polo 5th grade student Rebekah Ziegler has been eliminated from the National Spelling Bee Tournament in Maryland.
Rebekah was able to spell her first word correctly on Wednesday, but made an error on her second word. She was not 1 of 45 finalists moving on in the competition following the 3rd round.
Ziegler attends Centennial Elementary School in Polo and was making her 2nd straight appearance at the national event.
There were 285 children who participated in the Spelling Bee Tournament this year at the national level.
