A Davis Junction man pled not guilty in Ogle County court Wednesday involving a sexual abuse case in which the victim was a female juvenile.
56-year old Ricky Barnett has been arrested on 2 counts of the Class 2 felony of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The arrest stems from an alleged incident that took place on January 9th of this year in which Barnett allegedly had sexual contact with a female juvenile.
Probable cause has been found in the case by an Ogle County judge.
In court yesterday during an arraignment on his indictment, Barnett has demanded a jury trial in the case. He has also hired his own attorney to represent himself during the court proceedings.
Barnett returns to court on July 11th for a pre-trial conference.
He is out of jail following the posting of 10 percent of a $100,000 bond.
