The trustees of Northern Illinois University have voted to take away the honorary law degree given to former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert.
The trustees said Hastert's admission of criminal banking activity and the sexual abuse of children does not reflect the values of the university.
The 74-year-old Hastert will report to prison June 22 to serve 15-months for banking violations in a hush money case.
