Oregon police arrested a Mt. Morris teen early Friday morning following a robbery that took place at the Shell gas station on South 4th Street.
The 17-year old girl has been arrested on the felony offense of robbery. No one suffered any injuries from the incident.
The robbery took place a short time after 1:30 yesterday morning as the girl demanded money and cigarettes at the business. The teen implied she had a weapon. She then fled the scene.
At around 2:45 yesterday morning, the girl was arrested in Mt. Morris at 601 6th Street and transported to the Oregon Police Department.
After reviewing the incident with the Ogle County Probation Department, the teen was transported to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center pending a detention hearing on Monday for the felony offense of robbery.
At this time, the girl is being treated as a juvenile in the court system.
