State Senate sends college tuiton funding bill to Governor

The Illinois Senate is sending Governor Rauner a bill that would fully fund college tuition grants for low-income students. Lawmakers approved a measure that would supply an additional 227-million dollars.
The grants were only partially covered in the higher education stopgap legislation approved by the governor last month.
