A Rockford man has pled not guilty in Ogle Couty court in connection with counterfeit credit cards that were used at businesses in Rochelle earlier this year.
27-year old Michael Beeks has been arrested on 5 counts of burglary and 1 count of possession of stolen property.
Ogle County officials say that the fake credit cards were used at 3 businesses in Rochelle.
Beeks, who has been indicted on the charges by an Ogle County grand jury, demanded a jury trial yesterday during his preliminary hearing. He is scheduled to be back in court on June 13th for a pre-trial conference.
Beeks remains in jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
