A Polo man will do some time in jail following an armed robbery at a gas station last January.
21-year old Damian Wilson was arrested on the felony offense of aggravated robbery.
The hold-up took place at the Shell gas station in Polo on Division Avenue. Police say that Wilson planned to purchase a beverage from the store. As the transaction took place, Wilson told the employee that he wanted all of the money from the cash register. He then placed a BB handgun on the counter.
No one suffered any injuries from the incident.
Wilson left the store and then returned and placed the money back on the counter as he knew the worker had called the police. The employee also knew Wilson.
He was taken into custody at his home in Polo a short time later without incident.
Wilson received a sentence of 6 months in jail and probation for 2 and a half years. He also can not have any contact with the Shell gas station in Polo.
