Rochelle City Engineer Sam Tesreau has announced that Creston Road, from Caron Road to Swamp Road east of I-39, will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday morning at 7.
The closure is necessary to perform paving sealing operations as part of the City’s ongoing maintenance program. Work is expected to be substantially complete by 4 on Tuesday afternoon and is subject to weather.
Traffic, utilizing Dement Road to Creston Road, will be detoured along Route 38 to Caron Road. Advance warning, detour and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the advanced warning signage, road closed signage and other temporary traffic control devices within or in advance of the work zone.
