The man known in the Dennis Hastert hush money case as "Individual A" is taking Hastert to court for failing to pay the remaining one-point-eight-million-dollars out of the three-and-a-half-million Hastert promised in 2010.
The suit filed Monday in Kendall County charges the former U.S. House Speaker with breach of contract for failing to pay the money that prosecutors say was to keep information about Hastert's sexual abuse of students secret. Hastert is facing a sentencing hearing this week in Chicago after admitting trying to disguise bank withdrawals as he gradually paid off "Individual A."
