The Byron High School Cheerleading team will be at the State Finals today in Bloomington. The event is taking place during the next 2 days at the U.S. Coliseum.
Byron qualified for the State Finals following a 2nd place finish in the Small Division last Saturday at the DeKalb Sectional.
This is the 6th consecutive year that Byron High School has qualified for the cheerleading State Finals. 9th overall.
Other area high schools that will be in competiton today includes Yorkville and Rockford Lutheran in the Medium Division, Rockford Guilford in the Large Division, and Belvidere North and Hononegah as part of the COED Division.
The finals will be held on Saturday in each division.
