In area news, Winnebago County Sheriff's Police are investigating a home invasion incident that took place near Rockford on Saturday which left 1 person dead and another injured from a gun shot wound.
35-year old Treesa Wiley died from her injuries at a Rockford hospital after being shot. The 30-year old other victim is a woman and remains in stable condition at a Rockford hospital.
The home invasion took place in the 13 hundred block of Carbaugh Avenue in unincorporated Rockford.
Sheriff's police are currently checking on leads in the case. No arrest has been made.
An autopsy on Wiley's body is scheduled for Monday.
