A Rockford teen received a sentenced of 6 years in the Department of Corrections yesterday after he pled guilty to an armed robbery that took place last October at a liquor store in Davis Junction.
19-year old Saul Lara was arrested on the felony offense of armed robbery.
Co-defendants in the case were 24-year old Pedro Mora-Mejia and a 16-year old boy, both from Rockford.
The hold-up took place at Junction Liquors in Davis Junction.
Police say that Lara and the teen entered the store wearing Halloween Masks and holding handguns. They stole money and property from the business along with an employee and patron at the store. No one suffered any injuries.
Mora-Mejia drove the get-away car from the scene.
Lara will be sentenced to a boot camp along with paying restitution in the case.
