City officials in Rochelle approved a resolution last night in adopting a Brand Style Guide for the community. This would include information from city services, the Chamber of Commerce, Gredco, along with the Main Street program and private marketing.
The Brand Leadership Team is putting together the guide.
The city plans to begin a vendor management inventory program for RMU in the near future. An engineering agreement was also approved for work on South Main Street at a cost of just under $194,000.
Construction is scheduled to begin between Steward and Steam Plant Roads in the spring of 2017. This will include a pedestrian path located mostly on the east side of the road.
The entire project between Veterans Parkway and Steward Road is expected to cost 2.5 million dollars.
A 3-year audit agreement with Sikich LLP from Naperville was approved as the yearly price will range between $63,300 to $66,000. The council also approved the change orders for a new water main near Rochelle Community Hospital.
Absent from last night's meeting were Councilmen Dave Eckhardt and Don Burke.
