Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert is asking for a delay in his sentencing. His lawyers say they have been unable to meet with Hastert since his hospitalization in November.
The former speaker suffered from a stroke, and blood and spinal infections. He was convicted of a financial crime last year in a hush-money case stemming from allegations of sexual misconduct. Hastert's lawyers are asking for his February 29th sentencing to be pushed back due to his health problems.
