Sacco-Miller sentenced to 2 years probation for DUI offense

Lee County State's Attorney Anna Sacco-Miller has received a sentence of 2 years probation and a fine of $2,417 after being arrested on the charge of DUI following an accident on November 15th of last year.

The incident took place during the morning hours in Dixon as the car Sacco-Miller was driving struck a parked vehicle.

Reports indicate that Sacco-Miller's blood alcohol level was .10 when arrested by Illinois State Police.

The office of Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow represented Lee County in the case.

Sacco-Miller took a 30-day leave of absence from her job as State's Attorney following the arrest. She entered an impatient treatment center and returned to work at the end of December.

Sacco-Miller has decided not to run for another term in office. She plans to finish out her current term and not resign.

3 Republicans are on the March 15th primary election ballot for Lee County State's Attorney. The list includes current assistant state's attorney Matt Klahn along with Michael Downey and Bill Brozovich.
