A new contract with Northern Illinois Disposal, an update report on the sanitary sewer project, and insurance coverage for the village tops the agenda tonight for officials in Hillcrest.
The board meeting begins at 7 at the Village Hall building.
The garbage contract would be for 7 years. It's the first new agreement in 28 years for Hillcrest.
The rate increase would begin in March. The recycling containers will be 32 gallons and
delivered to each home.
The village is also in the process of applying for an Illinois EPA loan for additional sanitary sewer work. The project includes River and Wayne Roads along with Roy and Linda Avenues.
Estimated costs for the work is 1.9 million dollars.
The sanitary sewer project for River Road and Ramona Avenue will resume this spring.
