Funds for the Branding project, a TIF District in the downtown and southern gateway areas, and a water main extension tops the agenda tonight for city officials in Rochelle. The council meeting begins at 7.
The Brand Leadership Team is asking the city for $25,000 to help pay for architectural work for the downtown area. The project includes a plaza and pavilion.
The tax increment financing district would help redevelop the downtown area along with the south side of the city.
The engineering agreement for the water main extension would be along 20th Street from 10th Avenue to 8th Avenue. The project also includes 8th Avenue between 10th and 15th Streets.
A special use permit for outdoor storage along with skid load generators for RMU are also on the agenda.
Tonight's Rochelle City Council meeting is open to the public.
