Ogle County officials are looking at expanding a successful program that started several years ago.
State's Attorney Eric Morrow said that they want to get more people involved with the drug court program that have problems in the area. This would include people with several DUI arrests along with veterans.
Morrow was a guest this week on the program "Let The People Know". He also commented on the medical cannabis program in Illinois and how to enforce laws that may be broken.
He said right now, Cook County is handling arrests like traffic tickets.
A report this week indicated that there was 1.7 million dollars in sales involving the medical cannabis program for Illinois in November and December of last year.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and rebroadcast Saturday morning at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday morning at 6 on "The Coyote".
Next week's guest will be Rochelle Mayor Chet Olson.
