A Rochelle teen returns to Ogle County court today for a status hearing after being charged with the Class 4 felony offense of aggravated reckless driving.
The arrest stems from a crash last summer which claimed the life of a local college student.
19-year old Emily Jahnke has been indicted by an Ogle County grand jury for the felony offense. Killed in the accident was 19-year old Anna Speed of Kings.
The crash took place the night of June 10th northeast of Creston in the 18,000 block of East Gillis Road. The jeep Jahnke was driving struck a utility pole.
The teen along with a passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries and received treatment at area hospitals.
Jahnke is out of jail following the posting of 10 percent of a $10,000 bond. She is currently a college student in Kentucky.
No other charges have been filed at this time by Ogle County officials.
