A special prosecutor has been assigned to represent the state in the case involving Lee County State's Attorney Anna Sacco-Miller.
Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow will be handling the case so that lawyers in the Lee County State's Attorney's office are not put in a position to prosecute their boss.
Sacco-Miller has been charged with DUI after her car struck a parked vehicle during the early morning hour on November 15th. She apparently fell asleep behind the wheel.
Sacco-Miller will represent herself in the case.
A pre-trial hearing has been set for January 15th in Lee County court.
Sacco-Miller has taken a leave of absence from her current Lee County position as State's Attorney. She has entered a rehab program since the arrest.
