The possibility of a Dekhockey program, the union contract for employees, along with a management agreement for the golf course tops the agenda this evening for park officials in Rochelle. The meeting begins at 6:30 in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The Dekhockey proposal would be at Cooper Park. The 100 feet by 50 feet outdoor rink along with lights and building would cost around $120,000.
4 workers belong to the union. They have been working without a contract since March 1st.
The board may also approve pay raises for non-union full-time staff.
The management agreement for the "Fairways" golf course would be with the Flagg Rochelle Park Foundation and Greg Query. Park officials approved a proposal last month that they would spend $75,000 each year for a 10-year period to keep the golf course open.
The city would also have to approve the agreement. They have yet to vote on the issue.
A public hearing for $800,000 in general obligation park bonds along with an update report on the bike path extention project is also on the agenda.
Tonight's meeting at City Hall is open to the public.
