The Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees approved the contract this week during a special meeting in the hiring of Dr. Laurie Borowicz as their 5th President.
Dr. Borowicz replaces Dr. Tom Choice who plans to retire at the end of the month after 15 years at Kish. He was president for 9 years.
Dr. Borowicz had been Vice President of Student Services for Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin. She agreed to a contract that ends June 30th of 2019 with an annual salary of $175,000.
Dr. Borowicz first day at Kishwaukee College will be January 11th, a week before 2nd semester classes.
The Board of Trustees also named Kevin Fuss, Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, as acting president at the college between January 1st through the 10th.
