Ogle County Sheriff's Police arrested 2 area residents last night on drug charges following a traffic stop a short time before midnight at Walnut and Logan Streets in Forreston.
Following a short investigation, 21-year old Nicholas Perez of Forreston was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, prescription drugs, cannabis, along with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.
The driver of the car, 21-year old Cody Fuchs of Orangeville, was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle was originally stopped for no rear registration light.
Perez remains in jail this morning with no bond set on the felony offense. Fuches posted bond and will appear in court at a later date.
