Chicago police officer free on bond following the killing of a teen

The Chicago police officer charged in the killing of Laquan McDonald is a free man for now. Officer Jason Van Dyke was released last night from the Cook County Jail after his family posted 150-thousand-dollars bond. That was ten-percent of the one-point-five-million-dollar bail set by a judge hours earlier.

The judge determined that amount after viewing the video of McDonald's shooting in October of 2014.
