A Rochelle woman made her first court appearance yesterday following a stabbing incident last Friday night in the Hub City.
36-year old Candice Hendrickson has been arrested on the felony offense of aggravated battery.
The altercation took place in the 400 block of Lincoln Highway. Hendrickson allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a steak knife. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
Hendrickson was also wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant for violation of her probation.
In court yesterday, probable cause was found in the stabbing case. A public defender was also appointed to represent Hendrickson in court.
She returns before a judge on December 9th for a preliminary hearing. At that time, Hendrickson will plead guilty or innocent to the felony offense.
She remains in jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
