The 10th Annual Rochelle Christmas Tree Festival will begin later this month as all proceeds this year will benefit the Community Action Network also known as "C.A.N.".
The Christmas Tree Festival is a silent auction that takes place each holiday season at Rochelle City Hall. Local businesses, organizations and individuals donate decorated table-top trees, wreaths, swags, and gift baskets.
All deliveries must be made by this Wednesday at City Hall. The bidding begins on Monday, November 30th and ends at 6:30 on Friday, December 4th.
The Rochelle Community Action Network acts as a bridge between family and the community in providing resources in order to assist children in the area.
C.A.N. will soon be distributing new winter coats to many local children in need. Earlier this year, they distributed school supply filled backpacks to 350 kids.
They will also host their 19th annual Christmas shopping trip for local children next month.
