Area residents are waking up to frigid temperatures today following the first snow storm of the season that hit Friday night and Saturday morning.
Between 5 to 9 inches of snow totaled the area. Many secondary roads remain snow packed and slippery due to the snow and ice.
The temperature this morning got as low as minus 1 degree to go along with wind chills below zero.
The high today is expected to be around 25 degrees.
The extended forecast has temperatures in the mid 40's by Wednesday.
