Illinois Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti
Illinois Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti made a stop in Rochelle yesterday as she talked about the lack of a state budget along with a visit to a local industry.
Illinois is currently in their 5th month without a budget approved by lawmakers. Sanguinetti said that progress is being made at a slow pace, but they are staying positive about the issue.
She also said that she does not get tired of being asked about this issue each day. The Lieutenant Governor said that the state is at a pro-business time when it comes to the economy.
Sanguinetti made a stop at Rochelle Foods during her visit to talk about the expansion plans for the company. She also visited Rockford on Friday.
Sanguinetti said her goal this year is to vist all 102 counties in Illinois. She is at 98 right now.
