The Ogle County Long Term Recovery is pleased to announce the fifth distribution of tornado relief grants.
In this session of funding, over $32,000 has been approved to be distributed to local families. Funds from the McCormick Foundation’s grant to the Rochelle Area Community Foundation are being utilized to fund this amount. In total, just over $215,000 has been granted to date. In this distribution, funds have been made available to cover insurance deductibles, shortfalls and co-pays, landscaping and stump removal.
The Ogle County Long Term Recovery Committee continues to meet regularly to determine needs of our affected families and to assist as quickly and efficiently as possible. The goal of the Committee continues to be to make our area families whole again after the April 9th tornado and we continue to focus on the long term aspect of the recovery process.
