Rochelle Middel School
Several Veterans Day ceremonies were held yesterday in the area as we thanked those individuals who have helped protect this country.
Newstalk 1060 broadcasted the program at the Rochelle Middle School as over 500 students attended the event. The guest speaker was Mark Schabacker of the Rochelle VFW Post 3878.
RTHS held their annual breakfast for area veterans. Many spoke to students throughout the day.
A dedication ceremony was held at the Ogle County courthouse in Oregon for the new Fallen Soldiers Memorial.
Veterans Day programs were also held in Mt. Morris, Ashton, Franklin Grove, Polo, and Amboy.
