2 Rockford men were back in Ogle County court yesterday for preiliminary hearings following an armed robbery that took place the night of October 12th at Junction Liquors in Davis Junction.

19-year old Saul Lara and 24-year old Pedro Mora-Mejia have both been charged with the Class "X" felony offense of armed robbery.

A 16-year old b
oy from Rockford has also been arrested following the hold-up.

Authorities say that Lara and the 16-year old entered the business wearing Halloween masks and holding handguns. They stole money and property from the liquor store along with an employee and patron at the business.

No one suffered any injuries.

Police say that Mora-Mejia drove the get-away car from the scene.

In court yesterday, Lara pled not guilty to the felony offense and waived his preliminary hearing. He also demanded a jury trial.

Lara returns to court on November 9th for a pre-trial conference in Oregon.

Mora-Mejia's preliminary hearing was continued to next Wednesday.

Both men remain in the Ogle County jail in lieu of $750,000 bonds.
