A man serving a life sentence for the 1957 murder of a seven-year-old Sycamore girl is continuing to push to have his 2012 conviction overturned.
Jack McCullough says new evidence could prove he's innocent in the death of Maria Ridulph, even though an appellate court upheld his conviction in February. McCullough's request for a new hearing has already been rejected, but his public defender plans to file a motion today to have the judge reconsider his decision to deny that request.
