Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert is planning to plead guilty in a hush-money case. His lawyers told a federal judge yesterday that a plea agreement has been worked out.
An indictment claims he lied to the FBI about millions of dollars worth of payments made to cover up past sexual misconduct during his time as a high school teacher and wrestling coach in Yorkville. Hastert is expected to enter the guilty plea during a hearing scheduled for October 28th.
