A month after the murder of Fox Lake Police Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz, investigators admitted yesterday that they have no suspects or motive in the case, though they did reveal a few new details.
Task force Commander George Filenko confirmed that Gliniewicz was shot twice in the chest with his own gun after what appears to have been a struggle, though it's still not clear who pulled the trigger.
Filenko said further testing is being done to determine the source of nine different DNA samples found at the scene. Shortly before he died, Gliniewicz radioed that he had seen some suspicious activity and was pursuing three people.
