A group of nine leaders from public universities in Illinois is calling for lawmakers to end the budget crisis. The call for action was spelled out in a letter addressed to the state's highest officials including Governor Rauner, Senate President Cullerton, and House Speaker Madigan.
The letter stressed that the higher education community hasn't received any state funding and won't be able to sustain operations.
