A Winnebago County judge set bond at $100,000 for a Rochelle man after shots were fired Monday afternoon at the Crusader Community Health faciity in Rockford.
No one suffered any injuries.
36-year old Steven Dummer has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of weapons following a standoff with police that lasted nearly 4 hours.
Police say that Dummer entered the building at 1100 Broadway Street in Rockford and went to the 2nd floor. He then took out a handgun and fired up to 5 shots.
Police say that Dummer is not an employee of the Rockford clinic. He remains in jail in lieu of bond and returns to Winnebago County court on October 29th for a hearing.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this time by Rockford authorities.
