Ogle County Sheriff's Police have arrested a Hillcrest man in connection with damage done to a corn field last Wednesday with a 4-wheel ATV.
25-year old Andrew Dorwaldt was arrested yesterday on the felony charges of obstruction and criminal damage to property.
Reports indicate that Dorwaldt was fleeing police on the ATV and drove the vehicle into a corn field near the intersection of Hemstock and Knoll Roads. Sheriff's police found the ATV the next day in a fence line. There was also damage to more than a mile of standing corn.
Dorwaldt has also been charged with improper operation of an ATV, driving in the wrong lane of traffic, aggravated fleeing to elude police, failure to give information after striking unattended property, along with driving on a revoked license and having no insurance.
He remains in jail with no bond set. Dorwaldt will appear before an Ogle County judge this afternoon on the charges in Oregon.
