A Forreston woman is back on the streets today after being arrested this week on the felony offense of financial exploitation of an elderly person.
Charged with the Class 2 felony was 37-year old Leslie Brashaw.
The arrest came about after an investigation that started on July 23rd as the victim was an elderly person in Polo.
Ogle County officials say that the case involved over $18,000 as Brashaw was the personal homecare provider for the victim.
In court yesterday, the judge set bond at $5,000. Brashaw was able to post 10 percent of that figure and was released from jail. She returns to Ogle County court for a hearing on September 25th in Oregon.
