Rock Falls teen sentenced to probation following shooting in Whiteside County

A Rock Falls teen was sentenced to 3 years probation yesterday by a Whiteside County judge after he accidently shot and killed his friend a year and a half ago.

17-year old Brady Osborne could have been sentenced to a juvenile facility until he was 21 years old in the death of Matt Anderson.

Osborne, who is the son of Illinois State Police Trooper Troy Osborne, must also complete 480 hours of public service work.

The teen was charged with reckless conduct following the shooting which took place on March 1st, 2014 at Osborne's home.

Anderson died from a gun shot would to his chest.
