Ogle County property owners are reminded that the 2nd installment on their tax bill is due today
Over 29,300 tax bills were mailed last April. The county expects to collect a little over 119 million dollars. That's a small increase from a year ago.
Ogle County Treasurer John Coffman said that farm land values increased in the area while the residential figure saw a slight decline in numbers.
Payments can be made in cash or check to the Treasurer's office or any bank in Ogle County.
Area residents can also use the state treasurer's E-Pay program. Most major credit cards are accepted.
Mailed payments must be postmarked today to be considered timely. Late payments will incur a fee of 1.5 % per month or part of the month after the due date.
