State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) today announced his intention to seek his third term in the Illinois House of Representatives.
“I still believe our best days lie ahead,” said Demmer, “I am as committed as ever to working to make Illinois a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
First elected in 2012, Rep. Demmer has been a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, job creation, and government reform.
“We face serious challenges as a state from years of poor planning and irresponsible decisions. We won’t get past these problems overnight, but I’m willing to make hard decisions to reform Illinois and put us back on a path to prosperity.”
Demmer represents the 90th district which consists of parts of Lee, Ogle, DeKalb and LaSalle Counties. Demmer was recently named an Edgar Fellow as part of a program recognizing emerging state leaders. He is a member of the Local Government Consolidation and Unfunded Mandate Relief Task Force and serves on key committees overseeing human services, agriculture, and education.
