A Dixon man escaped serious injuries yesterday morning after he crashed the international boom truck he was driving in rural Polo.
The accident took place a short time after 11:30 in the 16,000 block of West Route 52. A boom truck towing a flat bed trailer driven by 40-year old Timothy Taft of Dixon was traveling east bound on Route 52 when it struck the south side shoulder of the road.
Taft then lost control of the truck as it rolled over on the highway.
The Dixon man was able to exit the truck on his own power. Taft was later transported by ambulance to KSB Hospital in Dixon with a minor head injury.
No ticket were issued by sheriff's police.
