The Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees has begun the search process for the position of President of the college. The college's current President, Dr. Tom Choice, announced his retirement in June, effective on December 31st. The Assocation of Community College Trustees will assist with the presidential search process and has conducted over 400 community college searches. The Board is asking for community input in creating a Presidential Profile as well as identifying what community members see as the opportunities and challenges that the new President will encounter as he or she assumes leadership of Kishwaukee College. The Board will host two Presidential Search Public forums on Wednesday, August 19th from 7:30-8:45am and the second session from 4:45-6:15pm. Both forums will be in A1225 in the Kishwaukee College Conference Center. If members of the community cannot attend the forums, they are asked to email representatives from ACCT directly by August 20th to share any thoughts. The email addresses are [email protected] or [email protected]. The Board of Trustees will review and approve the Presidential Profile at a Special Board meeting on August 20th. The progress of the search will be available at the College's website at kishwaukeecollege.edu/presidentialsearch.
