Governor Rauner is vowing not to lock out Illinois workers while contract talks continue with the state's largest workers union. Rauner told reporters yesterday to "Put it in writing. No lockout."
The comments come as his administration and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees remain fair apart in negotiations. The union's most recent contract expired at the end of June but both sides agreed to extensions that last until September 30th.
