A number of state employees could be out of a job by the end of September if the state continues to operate without a budget. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees says Governor Rauner's administration has sent them 94 layoff notices.
Union officials were told the move was being made because of a lack of funding. The layoffs go into effect on September 30th.
