An ordinance dealing with commercial greenhouses along with the alley work near Rochelle Community Hospital tops the agenda tonight for city officials.
The council meeting begins at 7 at City Hall.
The commercial greenhouse issue deals with future businesses that may locate in Rochelle.
Known as "Project Green", the company will begin with around 20 employees and yearly salaries between 30,000 to 120,000 dollars. The capital investment will be 7 million dollars in the 120,000 square foot building used to grow lettuce.
The RCH project deals with an ordinance vacating an alley and utility easement for their addition. The 8 million, 2 story medical office building will be located south of the hospital and will be 26,000 square feet.
The Rochelle Planning and Zoning Commission plan to hold a public hearing at 6 this evening to talk about the proposal to vacate the alley and utility easement.
The Rochelle City Council meeting is open to the public.
