Ogle County Sherriff deputies arrested a Freeport man following a traffic stop at the intersection of Rt. 26 and Prairie Dell Rd. Sunday at around 6:30. 20 year old Quavion Scott of Freeport, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Violation of the Drug Paraphernalia Act, and Violation of the Cannabis Control Act. Scott was also cited for Speeding and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Scott was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Ogle County deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of South Illinois Route 26 Sunday night around 8:30. After an investigation, 20 year old Skylar LaRue ofDixon, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Cannabis. LaRue was also issued a citation for Failure to Notify the Secretary of States Office of Change of Address. LaRue was transported to theOgle County jail where he was held with no bond pending a court appearance.
A Davis Junction man was arrested following a traffic stop by Ogle County at the intersection of Church Rd. and IL Rte. 64. After an investigation, deputies placed 50 year old Jose Aguinaga of Davis Junction, under arrest for Driving While License Suspended. Aguinaga was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
Two people were injured following a single vehicle accident Friday evening around 5:30 on West Milledgeville Road. Ogle County Sheriff Deputies, along with the Polo Fire, Ems, Police and the Milledgeville Ems department all responded to accident. After an investigation, it was learned that the driver of the vehicle, 18 year old Samantha Schauff of Rock Falls, crossed over the center line while driving westbound on Milledgeville Road. Schauff over corrected and the vehicle entered the ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn. Both Schauff and the passenger of the vehicle were transported to CGH hospital for non life threatening injuries. Schauff was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
On Friday, Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 45 year old Laurie Mon of Polo for theft after investigating an incident reported the previous day. Mon was transported to the Ogle County Jail.
Ogle County Deputies responded to Lake Louise Campground Sunday afternoon around 1:30, in reference to a disturbance. After an investigation, Deputies placed 41 year old Stacey Wright of Joliet, under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Wright was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
