Two candidates will be battling it out to see who will replace former U.S. Representative Aaron Schock. Voters in the Eighteenth Congressional District chose Republican State Senator Darin LaHood and Democrat Rob Mellon as the two nominees in the upcoming September 10th general election.
LaHood beat out fellow GOP members Michael Flynn, and Donald Rients during yesterday's primaries. Mellon won over Adam Lopez. The election is taking place after Schock resigned in March following an investigation into his spending habits.
