Police in Rockford are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run that left a man dead. The 58-year-old Rockford man was hit yesterday afternoon in the four-thousand-block of Auburn Street. The victim died at the hospital. Police believe a black pickup truck might have been the vehicle responsible.
Rockford police are investigating a deadly crash. The accident happened early yesterday when a car rolled over and hit a pole at South Main and Loomis Streets. A 36-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. two other people inside the car fled the scene on foot and have not been found.
